Purpose
Danish Justice Foundation’s purpose is to provide help and ensure all receive equal rights within the law. This is primarily achieved through fundraising in Denmark.
The funding is donated to rightful and credible people in the country we cooperate with; this entails local lawyers which can attend to Danish Justice Foundation’s goals for justice, equality and freedom.
The report Progress of the World’s Women: In Pursuit of Justice contain an exhaustive investigation of women’s access to courts across the globe. It presents 10 recommendations of efforts that would contribute to combat this paradox: that despite enormous improvements to women’s legal positions this century, still has a major deficit in terms of general equality and justice.
127 countries do not have effective laws regarding rape within marriage. Additionally, only a fraction of reported cases lead to a conviction. Other recommendations in the report include better education of judges to challenge the notion that women through their demeanor themselves can be partly responsible, and quota systems can increase the number of female lawmakers.
Danish Justice Foundation must be a civil society NGO that transfers knowledge and resources to a civil organization in the third world.
Danish Justice Foundation is independent of political parties and movements but wish to promote a democratic approach to society. We see democracy as the most favorable form of government in terms of granting equality, freedom and autonomy, and accommodates most citizens as the same time.
